This was my final for Houdini 1 taught at Gnomon. I learned about houdini and while I usually do real time rendering it was nice going back to a pre-render engine. I was focused on creating a nice image so lighting and composition was a big focus of mine. The terrain was generated in houdini and textured with mega scans. The trees were made in speedtree and the skull was sculpted and textured by me.
